NUEVA YORK: La 37ta entrega de los Daytime Emmy Awards tuvo como principales ganadores a The Bold and the Beautiful, Cash Cab y Ellen Degeneres.
Presentados por la Academia Nacional de las Artes y Ciencias de la Televisión, el evento se emitió anoche por la cadena CBS, que se llevó un total de siete premios. The Bold and the Beautiful se llevó el galardón a drama sobresaliente, mientras que Cash Cab ganó en la categoría de outstanding game/audience participation show; y en las categorías de talk show, The Ellen Degeneres Show (entretenimiento) y The Doctors (informativo) también se alzaron con premios.
En actuación, los ganadores fueron Maura West, Michael Park y Julie Pinson en As the World Turns y Billy Miller en The Young and the Restless. Por su parte, Ben Bailey de Cash Cab fue nombrado conductor de game show sobresaliente y el Dr. Mehmet Oz ganó como anfitrión de talk show sobresaliente. Otros premios fueron otorgados al equipo directivo de General Hospital y al equipo de escritores de The Bold and the Beautiful.
